Blessings:
Thanksgiving is almost here and with it comes a reminder of all our many blessings. We have so much to be thankful for, including our family and friends. So many fond memories are stirred up as I think back on many celebrations with our loved ones. I always miss my parents more this time of year as I think back on the holidays. Mother was a terrific cook and she knew how to make family celebrations fun. My mother-in-law also comes from a heritage of good cooks. They say people often express love through their cooking-and I agree!

Books:
The family cookbooks have arrived!
We are so excited to see all our family recipes in print!
Thanks, Liz! (Thanks for the pictures, too. I helped myself!)
Bugs:
A flu bug has hit me. I’m sitting here at the computer looking a bit like this:
Spending the day in bed with a cold, wet towel on my head makes for interesting hair, but at least the bug waited until school was out for the holidays.
Babies:
This sweet baby just got a clean bill of health from her cardiologist. She doesn’t have to be checked again until she is around three or four years old.
And there you have it.
Lots to be thankful for!
Have a great Thanksgiving!

I'm really grateful for all of those things... except for that darn bug thing. Man I am so ready to be done with the sick-ies already. I also am so so excited about our cookbooks. I hope everyone else enjoys them as much as I already am. And I am quite relieved to know Aubrey's heart is doing well. Major Blessings all around!
So sorry to read about the bug that has visited itself on you - big sympathy! I love your pictorial list of things for which to be thankful. I can't wait to see the book!
Have a wonderful weekend with your family. I know what you mean about missing your parents...It's been Nov.27, 2000 since my mom died..the same day that Silas was born now 4 years old, and I'm so thankful for the date with the memories...
Hope you are feeling up to it soon and blessings to you.
I would love to do a book exchange with you my friend...I've been thinking about this for along time and knew that you were creating one. What a valuable memory.
That is such good news about the baby's heart! She us such a sweet beauty.
Hope you are feeling better, and i hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Joann.
