Now I'm obsessed.....

The famous Preston High School!
Since my post about the upcoming class reunion, I've had a LOT of thoughts about this occasion. It was fun to hear from one of my best friends, Barbara. Thanks! We have been friends since we were babies in the hospital together (She beat me by one day!). Anyway, I have been thinking about it so much that it has invaded my dreams.
The latest dream:
Yes, I did go to the reunion (relief for those of you who encouraged me to go),
but...
I couldn't find anything to wear and it was time to leave. So what did I do? I took my Levis out of the dirty close hamper to wear! Everyone else showed up in cute dresses!

Maybe I am not so different from another Preston graduate.

Old Navy coupon

I found this link from a decorating blog I like to visit for a $10 coupon at Old navy. They are having a sale this weekend!

My wish list.....

January
is a restless month for me. I love the whole fall season
(I put a lot of energy into December and getting things festive for the holidays),
but January seems like the let down month.
Therefore,
I decided to do some "dreaming" and make a list of places I would LOVE to visit.
I have actually been to a few of these places, but I enjoyed them so much I need a revisit!

Sorrento, Italy (a beautiful seaside village)Athens, Greece (rugged, beautiful, historic)

Russia

San Antonio, Texas

New York City

Nauvoo, Illinois (and all the church history sites)

Amish farm country

Colonial Williamsburg, Va.

New England (must be in the fall!)

Salzburg, Austria (I only scratched the surface of this beautiful place. I would love to go back!)

Sigh.......It is fun to dream!

Guess who has a class reunion this summer?

It's true. Forty years have come and gone.
(I remember thinking that 40 years old was ANCIENT
and now
I have been out of school and away from home for that long!)

So, do I plan on going?
It would be a good time to renew old friendships
and share some fun memories with good friends. I loved my friends!
But...
On the other hand, can I face the reality of forty years of aging
and hips that have expanded a bit each and every year?
I need a plan.
Help!

(In case you can't figure out which one is me,
I am the fourth girl from the right on the middle row.)

Remembering a great lady!

The cute little girl on the right is our sweet mother, Mildred. The handsome boy on the left is her older brother Dean.
(Her fashionable outfit was made by her mother, including the hat!)
What a nice looking family!
Mildred was friendly, talented, popular, and NICE!
Everyone loved her!
Especially her best friend, Dennis!
She was a great mother (and a wonderful cook)!
She originated the term "glob" in her home made bread recipe.
("...Add a glob of shortening.")
She knew how to have fun and had the best friends. We have great memories of family outings with all of them.
She and Dad loved the gospel
and were faithful servants in their ward.
She passed away 21 years ago on January 16, 1988.
How we love and miss her!

We're still alive and kicking!

It has been a very long week as we have struggled with computer problems.
(If that means I'm addicted to blogging- then I confess that I am lost without it!)
Hopefully, we can post something interesting soon.
Please don't give up on us!

THANKS, LIZ!

"I know just what I want....sort of.....well not that....maybe try this....."
Thank you, Liz
! Last night she helped me get my new blog look. It took some thinking, experimenting, and a lot of computer refreshing (long distance teamwork isn't easy)! How lucky I am to have a willing expert to help me.

On another note, I just watched HGTV's Dream Home 2008 on t.v. Check it out!
